Submission Process

We will accept submissions for Workshops and Posters online using the links below.

Workshop submissions

Submission deadline: July 14, 2006
Submission page: http://lacsi.krellinst.org/workshop/workshop.php

The Symposium will feature half-day and full-day workshops on specialized topics relevant to high-performance scientific computing. Previous workshops have covered performance tools, component software and frameworks, compilation techniques, cluster software, reconfigurable hardware, visualization, applications, and mathematical optimization. A workshop may be a meeting of an ongoing research collaboration, but must be open to all registrants. The Symposium will provide space and meeting essentials, and workshop organizers will develop the content for workshops whose proposals are accepted.

To propose a workshop, submit the following through the conference web site:

  • Title of workshop
  • Name(s) and contact information for organizer(s) and expected presenter(s)
  • Abstract for the workshop, suitable for publication in conference program
  • (Optional) PDF file with sample workshop technical material, e.g. slides or background paper

Proposers will be notified of acceptance (or rejection) by July 10. If accepted, the workshop will be invited to submit presentations or other material (PDF format) for inclusion on the conference CD-ROM. Deadline for this material will be September 29.

Poster Submissions

Submission deadline: September 15, 2006
Submission page: http://lacsi.krellinst.org/poster/poster.php

The Symposium will sponsor a poster session with reception on the first evening. This year, we are particularly encouraging posters by advanced students in computer and computational sciences. Posters can be on any topic relevant to high-performance computing. Previous posters have covered supercomputer applications, performance analysis and prediction, load balancing methods, compiler optimizations, communication algorithms, and performance monitoring and measurement. Posters will remain on display for the remainder of the meeting to facilitate discussions. An award will be given for the best poster, as judged by the committee.

To propose a poster, submit the following through the conference web site:

  • Title of poster
  • Name(s) and contact information for author(s)
  • Extended abstract (no more than 3 pages) of poster.

Poster submitters will be notified of acceptance (or rejection) by September 22. If accepted, the presenter will be invited to submit the poster or related material (PDF format) for inclusion on the conference CD-ROM. Deadline for this material will be September 29.

Proceedings

The Symposium proceedings will be distributed on CDROM and will contain material from all three days of the meeting; authors may provide additional background and supplementary information. Contributors will retain copyright to their materials, but must agree to inclusion in the proceedings and posting on the symposium web site after the event.
